(a) Since the 2 cars are travelling together, we need to add together and then times the time used on the left-hand side od the equation. The answer of that will be equal to the sum of the distances travelled by the 2 cars, which means the distance between the 2 cars, so we need to write 250 on the right-hand side of the equation. Let x hr be the time the two cars need to meet. x (55+70) = 250 x(125) = 250 x = 2 They will meet on the road after 2 hours. (b)For car A, 55 km x 2 =110km For car B 70 km x 2 =140km PS You would find that 110 + 140 = 250! Hope I can help you!
