Physics Question!!!Thx!!!

發問:

At an altitude of 11000 m, the air temperature is -56.5 oC and the air density is 0.364 kg/m^(3). What is the pressure of the atmosphere at that altitude? The answer is 22.8 kPa. Please show the steps. Thank you very much!!! 更新: Sorry, can you explain way the altitude does not have any effect on the atmosphere?

最佳解答:

Starting with the ideal gas equation: PV = nRT But the numner of moles, n = m/M where m is the mass of gas, and M is its molar mass i.e. PV = (m/M)RT P = (m/V).(RT/M) P = pRT/M The molar mass of air is 29 g/mol, or 2.9 x 10^-2 kg/mol P = 0.364 x 8.31 x (273-56.5)/2.9x10^-2 Pa = 2.26 x 10^4 Pa = 22.6 kPa
