發問:

13. The density of a 2.45 M aqueous solution of methanol, CH3OH is 0.976 g mL-1. Calculate the molality of the solution. [Relative atomic masses: H = 1.0, C = 12.0, O = 16.0] 我5係好明點樣運用density 去做mole question 只知道density x volume = mass 更新: actually, i don't quite understand the question. i know how to find the solution but i don't how the solution is since the molality of aqueous solution of methanol is given. is it? 更新 2: i don't know what is the solution referring to?

13. Consider 1 L (1000 mL) of the 2.45 M methanol solution. No. of moles of CH3OH in 1 L of the solution = 2.45 x 1 = 2.45 mol Mass of CH3OH in 1 L of the solution = 2.45 x (12 + 1x4 + 16) = 78.4g Mass of the 1 L of the solution = 1000 x 0.976 = 976 g Mass of the solvent (water) in 1 L of the solution = 976 - 78.4 = 897.6 g =0.8976 kg Molality of the solution = 2.45/0.8976 = 2.73m 2012-10-28 19:34:47 補充: In the question : The solution is formed by dissolving methanol in water. The density of the soluton is 0.976 g/mL. The MOLARIY (2.45 M) of the solution is given, but the MOLALITY is unknown. 2012-11-01 01:06:12 補充: Molarity is the number of moles of solute dissolved in a certain amount of solvent to form 1 L of solution. Molality is the number of moles of solute dissolved in each kg of the solvent.
