Sarah has 32 marbles and Cherir has 48 marbles. If Sarah and Cherir each gives the same number of marbles to Kelvin, the numbers of Sarah and Cherie's marbles will be in the ratio 13:21. Find the number of marbles that Sarah gives to Kelvin.

Let x be the required number to be found. (32-x)/(48-x) = 13/21 21(32-x) = 13(48-x) 672 - 21x = 624 - 13x 8x = 48 x = 6
