Should pilot has excellent knowledge of aviation system???

I dream to be a pilot since I'm young.Yet,right now I'm a form.7 art student and know very little about phys and chemistry.And this is the concern that puzzles me for so long.A month later,I would enter one of the hk's universities to further my studies.Unofortunately,I can only choose business... 顯示更多 I dream to be a pilot since I'm young. Yet,right now I'm a form.7 art student and know very little about phys and chemistry.And this is the concern that puzzles me for so long.A month later,I would enter one of the hk's universities to further my studies.Unofortunately,I can only choose business or art faculty. I know well that science students would be given an advantage during an intervew.But does it really matter?? Here are some questions related to the pilot career. 1)As I mentioned,should i know more about the aviation system and how it works for my preparation?? If so,is there any books recommened and suitable for an art student like me? 2)What's the most important requirement of a pilot? Here are 4 options as the followings: i)Personality ii)aviation knowledge iii)appearance (good outlooking and strong phyique?) iv)Excellent command of English I'm wondering 4 of them are equally important for a pilot,haha.Am i true?? 3)Is there any biography or diary(in a fiction style) recommended to me?I want to know more about their experiences=) Thanks for yr answer !!!!Bro! 更新: By the way,will it be an advantage to me if i become a member of the HK aviation club?? This club provided some hand-on course of aviation,rather than some boring theories on textbooks.

First of all I am glad to hear you have a dream to become pilot.I am willing to share my experience with you.I'll answer it part by part.First you have little background on physic,may i recommend you to spend sometime on your own to study in this area?Part of the flying is relate to physic and chemistry,now give you a good example,the mixture of gas and air is relate to chem already, you know what your weakness is,spend sometime on it,it can help you a lot in your future. Pilot career part 1.From my pervious experience if you do have some knowle-dge in aviation system,it can give you some advantage,however when the time you;'re interview with them,they would also look at your education and how much you know about aviation?They usually don't expect you know every aviation systems how it work?When you're interview with them,they more often ask you such what's the different 747 and 777?When you're facing any emergency situation,what would you do to correct the problem is short amount of time.These 2 bks is recommend by me and many other pilot's.Pilot encylopedia of aeronautical knowledge and instrument flying handbook. Part2.What I believe a good professional pilot's must have is fluent in English,it's part of the requirment for the pilot's,personality.When you interview with them,they are not only look at how well you do in your school,but personality too.They will see are you a team working person?How well you react in any situatuion?Aviation knowledge,in this specific part,the more you know,the better you are going to be.Not long time ago,there was a fa from CX want to become pilot,but she failed.Because she didn't have any knowledge in aviation.Now you can see how important it is?Appreance is important,because you're a professional pilot and behalf your company,but you don't need super good looking like Ricky Martin.3. it really depends in where you want to become a pilot. if you are talking about HK, then you can join the cadet pilot programme by CX/KA. In that case, (1) please refer to their websites for requirements. (2) (i) Yes, (ii) if you are keen on aviation, you should have some! (iii) Class A medical, and min height of 160cm (iv) Yup.
